NoRedInk is an adaptive learning tool that helps students improve their grammar/writing skills. We use students' favorite celebrities, personal interests, and Facebook friends to generate fun grammar questions, and teachers can create quizzes, assignments, and practice exercises to help students work through misconceptions. The system adapts to each learner's strengths/weaknesses, using tutorials and color-coded heat maps to facilitate growth. NoRedInk reached 13,000 registered users twelve weeks after launch, and students are currently doing 200,000 grammar questions every month.
